Top Netflix Picks
Hey cuties,
I spend about 70% of my time scouring Netflix trying to find ANYTHING I haven't already watched and I always find it interesting going through other blogs where people list their favourite shows.
So that's what I'm doing today.
Now, your taste in films/shows may be a hell lot different from mine so you might disagree or you might totally love them too!
First up, TV shows..

First up, TV shows..
- Gilmore Girls - I thought I'd get this out of the way as everyone knows how much I love this show, it's homely, cosy and so wholesome, It's perfect for settling down with a cuppa and a blanket.
- 13 reasons why - This is a new show that was added super recently but oh my god it's brilliant, it tells of a teen girl who commits suicide but leaves behind 13 tapes for the people who ultimately caused her death. Super interesting and it's almost has a perks of being a wallflower edge to it (mixed with a mystery obv).
- Gossip Girl - Probably the best show ever made about rich teens in the upper east side, it's amazing. Sex, drugs and scandal..what more could you want?
- Skins - Teens in Bristol getting absolutely fucked up (major drug use warning), causing trouble and falling in love. (Volume 1-4 are the best seasons and I DARE you not to love Cook or Freddie)
- Freaks and Geeks - Set in the 70's, following a girl who gets involved with the 'freaks' of the school and her younger brother who is one of the geeks, super funny and stars Seth Rogen, James Franco and Jason Segel.
- Riverdale - New show to Netflix, about the fictional town 'Riverdale' and brings all of the Archie comics gang to life but in the best and darkest way. (Starring the beautiful Cole Sprouse).
- Series of Unfortunate Events. - Another new Netflix show based upon the books by the same name, if you liked the film chances are you'll love this and although Jim Carrey will always be the best Count Olaf, Neil Patrick Harris does a pretty amazing job with this series.
- Being Human - I think this might only be on UK Netflix so I'm sorry if you can't get a hold of it to watch because this is one of the most incredible shows ever made, it's a British show about supernatural beings that live together in a house (one is a ghost called Annie, one is a werewolf called George and one is a vampire called Mitchell, who is played by Aidan Turner and he's stunning. trust me.) the whole thing is so gripping and it will break your heart with just how much you get attached to these people.
- The Vampire Diaries - Now, I stopped watching this after a few seasons because it hadn't updated to the latest episodes fast enough for me to watch, however as the show has now come to an end I will be able to watch the entire thing the whole way through and I'm well excited because it's the most teenage angst you could possibly squeeze into a show all at once with some blood throw in for good measure.
- Stranger Things - This is the last one I'll put up here because I realised I have an entire page worth of TV shows so I need to cut it short but this one deserves a spot based on the fact that this was the most popular show in 2016 and the kids in it are so incredibly talented also Winona Ryder is amazing in it, if you haven't seen it, you should.
- Nerve - Super intense but still really fun to watch, the v basic premise is 'teenagers do dares for money' but oh man it's so good, Emma Roberts and Dave Franco together are insanely good, just watch it and thank me later.
- The Nice Guys - Ryan Gosling and Russell Crowe play two private investigators in the 70's investigating the murder of a porn star, but it's SO much more than that, through the entire film I was crying with laughter as Gosling just fumbles his way through a series of accidental triumphs which had me gasping for air like a small seal.
- The DUFF - If you're a teenager who likes movies that are all about that high school life with mean girls and hot boys...this is for you, If you like all that but are filled with a wonderful sarcastic humor, this is REALLY for you. Mae Whitman is such an incredible funny woman who makes me laugh so hard throughout.
- Hunt for the Wilderpeople - A new film to Netflix, already so popular, the whole film is funny, charming and so heartwarming.
- The Fundamentals of Caring - As soon as I watched this it flew straight to the top of my list of films to recommend to everyone, brilliant film, incredible actors. The plot in a nutshell is 'A guy gets a job caring for a young lad who is in a wheelchair' the whole film is so witty and real, it's just beautiful.
- Me before You - Get ready to cry your flipping eyeballs out, this film is gold, pure joy and pure heartbreak in one sweet film, similar premise to the film above however, it's a woman caring for a man. Sam Claflin and Emilia Clarke play off of each other so beautifully and 'Lou' as a character is pure joy to watch.
- Gone Girl - I was reluctant to watch this at first as I had heard a few bad things however, after watching it now multiple times I urge you, if you haven't..please do, you wont regret it, it's so tense and there are so many plot twists you might get whiplash (another great film btw).
- Zombieland - I threw this one in here because it's pretty much one of the only zombie films I can stand, (bar Shaun of the dead obv) it's a comedy so it isn't scary at all just super funny and easy to watch with added zombies for people who dig that kind of thing. (ahem, Amy).
- Clueless - If you haven't seen this by now you must be living under a rock, the quintessential 90's high school movie and Cher is total outfit goals *As If*.
- Step Brothers - I quote this movie WAY more than I probably should, probably one of the best comedy movies ever, laugh until you cry, go on I know you want to.
Well, there you have it some great films and TV shows for you to binge.
Enjoy!
