Monthly Favourites *June '16*
Hey Guys,
This post is going to be all of my favourite things from the month of June, all of which I have broken down into categories (we'll see how this layout works, if not i'll change it for next month).
Fashion
This month I have been obsessed with the 70's fashion so the heels are exactly what I was looking for in my search for 70's perfection, they are so comfy and just the right height.
The trousers go along with the 70's thing nicely but in all honestly I just prefer to wear trousers all the time and this pattern was to die for, they're loose on the legs but tight near the bottom for a perfect fit also high waited (bonus!).
Now if you were to bump into me on a day to day basis you would see that this cap has not left my head for a solid three weeks give or take a few days (when I can be bothered to dress up) its probably the best item I've bought the entire year, totally in love!

- Deadbeats Cap (ASOS but they don't sell it anymore) - One similar
- Patterned Trousers (H&M) - Exact ones
- 70's Clog Heels (ASOS- size 2) - Similar ones
Beauty
Considering I am a makeup artist, I actually haven't been buying much lately in the way of beauty.
However, this sleek palette had me DYING when another makeup artist (a friend of mine) did my makeup so I had to go get it right away and I have used it every single day.
Some other beauty faves this month have been these nude lip liners from Sainsbury's they SUPER cheap but oh my god they are beautiful I have already bought multiple in case they discontinue them.
Speaking of nudes, nude eyeliner has been my go to all month and as someone who doesn't usually put anything on my waterline I found that this makes my eyes look really awake and open and enhances my makeup.
If you wanted to know what I have smelt like this month, I have been living for this perfume by Jimmy Choo called 'Blossom' it's super summery, floral and fruity, it also lasts forever as I have had this tiny bottle since Christmas and it's still almost full.

Music & Books
Music is always a giant part of every month for me, chances are I am ALWAYS listening to something whether I'm out and about or relaxing around the house.
My faves this month will be no surprise to anyone who knows me...
The 1975 - I like it when you sleep for you are so beautiful yet so unaware of it (Vinyl)
the whole thing is bloody genius and so so gorgeous to listen to, whilst being true to the band it is so different from the first album but just as brilliant, I'm totally in love (It's so aesthetically pleasing omg).
Catfish and the Bottlemen - Black Skinhead cover (Give it a listen)
I LOVE this band so much, their sound is so good and every song on both albums they've made have been insane, however I can't stop listening to this Radio 1 Live Lounge they did because, fuck it's good.
Tame Impala - The less I know the better
Super chill summery kind of song, the band are great and their sound is awesome but this song takes it for me, also they say my name in it, which is super weird.
Totally recommend you give it listen.
Okay that's enough music, I only have one book fave and it's been a fave for agessss ...

Alexa Chung - 'IT'
Alexa will always and forever be my fashion icon, she's so damn cool and just all round fashion goals, this book is just her talking about her past fashion and her inspiration for the way she dresses and if you're into fashion (which I really am) or Alexa (Also me) then you will love it.
Also very aesthetically pleasing. good. yes.
Film & TV
The last faves I wanted to mention were a film and some TV shows I have been binge watching, as I am off uni for three months before I start my honours degree I have had a load of time to consume all of the media possible, so here they are...
The Fundamentals of Caring
This film is a Netflix original starring Paul Rudd, Craig Roberts and Selena Gomez, as most older readers know I LOVED Craig in his role for the film 'Submarine' which is one of my favourite films of all time, however, he was so so much better in this.
I enjoyed every single second of it, incredible film, even better cast. seriously everyone needs to see this film as soon as possible.
That 70's Show
I have re-watched this show three times from start to finish since April, I first watched it through writing all of my assignments for uni and it got me through some pretty brutal 5am sessions.
The cast are hilarious (My fave character being Hyde) and the story (set in the 70's of course) is so funny and relaxed, if i ever just want something to watch that will cheer me up straight away, its this show.
It also stars some of the most famous actors when they were super young such as Ashton Kutcher, Mila Kunis, Laura Prepon (OITNB) and Topher Grace (Spiderman 3) etc.
So it's pretty cool to see them grow up throughout the show.
RuPaul's Drag Race
This show is brilliant, the aim of the show is to find America's next drag superstar each year out of a group of 12 drag queens, all of which are so so talented it's bordering unfair.
Each week one queen is eliminated based upon the weeks challenges and after a lip sync duel between the lowest two queens (its intense but incredible).
Each season I have gotten attached to one of the queens and they become my life and I root for them the whole way, my all time favourites being Willam Belli, Sharon Needles, Jinx Monsoon and my all time bae's Adore Delano and Violet Chachki (look out for them they're so talented and so funny).
Would recommend if you love any of the following, fashion, flawless makeup and sassy girls totally reading each other, also Ru is a total gem.
That's all for this month, hope you enjoyed a peek into my month of June and leave a comment telling me what you have been loving and any recommendations you have.
Much Love,
H
