**8 Years Later...** (Thankyou's)

Hi guys,
I feel like its been forever since I wrote a new post!
So, this is going to be a bit of a spontaneous one as a few nights ago I was skyping with a very good friend of mine and I realised that we(me, him and my two other friends) have known/been best friends for around 8 years now (which for a commitment-phobe like me is a loong time!).
and I just wanted to sort of celebrate the fact that even after knowing me at my best and worst (and boy it has been bad at times!) they still accept me and we are closer than ever and even though I am off to uni within a few weeks with a certain chummy (who I love to pieces)  I know that they will remain a part of my life, and want to thank them.

~Story Time with Heather~
It was 2006, I was like 4ft tall (Ask anyone, I was teeny) dressed in the uniform of my new secondary school (all too big for me ofcourse!) and a huge ass rucksack full of new stationary and an ugly PE kit I was dreading using.(I hate PE to this day).
Flash forward a few weeks and I was stood outside 'The 'goth' Gardens' a 'hangout' in my schools playground (Basically a small section of the playground that had been turned into a garden blocked off with bushes with benches inside and trees and shit, this was where all of the 'goths' hung out and no other kids went) I so desperately wanted to walk inside and have all these incredibly cool people to accept me, but when your 4ft and look like I did, Its not so easy.
Inside were two boys I quickly recognised from my year as they were pretty small too and I knew one from my form group.

Those two boys would turn out to be the most amazing people I'd ever meet.
Their names were (still are, funnily enough) Jess & Sid and they were best friends and came as a package deal (which was fine by me, they were the coolest people ever, pretty cute too.)
After a few more weeks we were friends (although I don't think they really liked me too much, I was persistent, haha!) and every single day I would spend every break I got sat on the benches laughing my head off as they played dares and did other silly things.
Now, at this point there was a girl I had met on the very first day named Laura, she was a few inches taller (who wasn't?) and shared the same music taste as me (Mcfly, yes, Mcfly and MCR) we became fast friends and she joined the gardens with me.

The earliest years, don't ask. (Year 7/8  Me & Laura)
This was me (2007)
The dreaded neon goth phase (Year 8/9 Me&Laura)
Through the years our friendship got stronger and traditions began, such as every Halloween we'd all meet up and hang out together (go trick or treating in the younger years, watch movies now) also every time it got real cold and started to snow, a knock would come at my door and they'd be standing there all bundled up with big grins on their flushed faces and we would go sledging down hills and have snowball fights until the snow made all of our clothes wet, then we would make our way back to my house and sit around in my room drinking hot chocolate and chatting for hours. (unfortunately this tradition came to and end when we all got very busy with our separate colleges and jobs, but it was fun).

Now, I'm making these eight years seem rosy and carefree, like nothing bad ever happened, however that isn't true, there were bad times, arguments (on MSN of course!) breakups, make ups and a lot of feelings got hurt, but I honestly think everything (even though I regret certain things) turned out how it was supposed to and they all continue to make me laugh and continue to make me happy to this day (even though I don't see them all as much and I miss them lots).

The recent years have been my favourite, watching each of them grow and change and become successful, strong and beautiful (not fair) and I am thankful for them being there when I need them, making me laugh, dancing to 'lonely goatherd' with me, being a shoulder to snot-cry on (far too many times, some publicly..cringe!) and helping me become confident by giving me some of the best advice, support and experience of my life.

I honestly hope that there will be more ('til were old people around the table sipping tea and laughing about old times plz)
