Best Highlighters - Rivehr Cosmetics

Image
Hey guys,  Being a makeup artist I'm always buying products then add to this the fact that I am a highlighter fiend you get draws full of gleaming shimmery goodness and a good sense of which highlighters are your faves.  On a recent online shopping marathon I came across Rivehr Cosmetics and my whole life has changed (bit dramatic but were going with it). Rivehr Cosmetics is an independent brand that makes cruelty free, vegan makeup but their products are still so so pigmented and beautiful and I may have bought four out of the eight available I believe.  I recently modeled for a photo shoot and the makeup artist (a friend of mine) could not get enough of them so I bought her one for herself to use for any future shoots, that's how much I love them.  So, here are the beauties and some swatches with no base, primer or anything! (I also did them on top of my tattoo to see the coverage). The four highlighters I chose. They all have very different ...

This is me at twenty one.

Hi guys, This is a bit of a re-introduction to me, I started this blog aged 18 when I was starting out on a brand new chapter of life at a new college studying make-up but I feel like that was decades ago. So, here goes. My name is Heather, I am now 21, turning 22 in March. I have successfully (so far) navigated my way through college and two and a half years of university going into the last bit of year three now, still studying make-up because I think I could be good at it.  My hair is grey...(okay mostly brown alright shut up my upkeep is non-existent) and far too long.  My favourite flowers are gypsophila because they are tiny and remind me of little stars. I like all animals however I'm partial to pretty beetles and puppies. I don't really have a hobby, I watch too many films to have one tbh.  My best friend lives two train rides away, not long ones though so that's alright.  I have only been in love once properly and even then nothi...

What I got for Christmas

Image
Hi guys,  The festive season is officially finished, the tinsel is gone and everyone probably weighs about 50 tonnes.  So, what is there left to do?  Flaunt some of the incredible gifts I have been blessed with this year of course.  First I opened my stocking which me and my brother open as soon as we wake up every year, this year was the pinnacle of grown up gifting..I basically got what I asked for which essentially was 'things I keep running out of'.  Makeup wipes, Face masks, Lip balm, Beauty blender, Dry shampoo etc  See, essentials.  Then, we headed downstairs to open the rest of our gift and I'm just going to put a load of pictures with little captions. Some books I asked for...minus 'On the road'. Obligatory soap & glory set   So many glorious smelling things. Gifts from my bestie; the t shirt is a 1975 quote 'Why dont you figure my heart out' Added to my vinyl collection. My brothers best frie...

Resolutions for 2017

Image
Hi guys,  Each year it's pretty much forced upon people to announce that they will do things to change 'for the better' and if i'm anything it's conforming and politely sarcastic.  So, here we go.. 1) Healthier eating. (She types whilst shoving three different quality streets in her mouth at once) This is something I am yet to accomplish in any way shape or form, every year I eat what I want whenever I want it, McDonalds at 9am? you got it. KFC for lunch? yep. Ordering Dominoes just because I'm watching a film? all. the. time. I basically have zero self control and walking up the stairs is causing breathing issues,  So, starting from the next weekly shop I'll be knee deep in health (Salad? fruits? idk) 2) Save Money. I tend to be really frivolous with money because again..no self control so this year I want to save money (specifically, every single £5 note I have or receive) as a sort of challenge, with the hypothetically saved money I will lea...

Morphe 35o Palette (Looks & Swatches)

Image
Hey guys,  It's been a while since I have written anything on here but its the new year and if there's one thing I need it's a distraction from the copious amounts junk food lying around post Christmas.  Before Christmas I treated my self to the Morphe 35o palette and it has quickly become my favourite thing in the world to use, so for anyone wanting to see what it is like keep reading.  Firstly, I bought the palette mid-flu so I had to wait two weeks of bed rest and crying to use this gorgeous creation, this meant that all i could do was open the palette and swatch for days on end, the result being this..   The palette itself is mostly warm toned colours, with a mixture of mattes and shimmers, my favorite out of the palette are the oranges along with the copper and champagne shimmer shadows.  The browns are perfect for deepening any eye shadow look, the medium browns and taupes are perfect transition shades, so without fan g...
